High Performing School Award
The High Performing School Award (HPSA) is designed as a school-driven model aimed at elevating educational excellence by fostering a culture of high performance. This initiative empowers schools to integrate the High Performance Learning philosophy across all aspects of their educational framework, ensuring that every student is viewed as a potential high achiever.
The HPSA pathway is deliberately designed for good schools that want to become great by enhancing and building on their existing successful practice.
Designed as a 6 term school-wide professional development project during which the school travels through a series of defined stages to adopt the HPL philosophy and framework and reach the attainment level necessary to achieve the High Performing School Award.
HPSA gives you the opportunity to develop your teaching and learning in a way that reflects the best and most contemporary approaches.
When you accredit as a HPSA school, you will have finished the first step of your journey to becoming a World Class School. It is a prestigious and globally recognised award that indicates that the school has successfully adopted the HPL philosophy and framework and has transformed the outcomes and culture of the school.
World Class School Award
The World Class School Award (WCSA) is designed for schools that aspire to reach the pinnacle of educational excellence, ensuring that they stand as exemplars in the global educational landscape. This pathway is for schools that want to build on their current successes and adopt innovative strategies to drive student achievement and teaching expertise to new heights.
The World Class School Award is deliberately designed for very good schools that want to be great. It therefore assumes that you already have significant good practice in place and builds on that strong platform to enhance and amplify it. The Award will help you confirm and codify your strengths in teaching and learning and identify areas for development so that you can achieve the gains required.
When you accredit as a World Class School, you will be globally-recognised as a school that is amongst the best in the world. You'll have proved you provide an exceptional level of education for students, using the HPL approach to enable them to reach high levels of academic performance.
Founding to World Class School Scheme
The Founding to World Class School Scheme (FWCS) is tailored for newly opened schools or those in the planning stages, focusing on building a solid foundation for educational excellence. This pathway ensures that your school establishes and implements High Performance Learning (HPL) compatible policies, systems, and processes.
The Scheme enables the school to embrace the High Performance Learning philosophy and framework, use it to steer its teaching and learning, and work towards a series of awards culminating in the school achieving the prestigious HPL World Class School Award five years from inception. This achievement recognises the very best schools in the world who are at the forefront of educational practice.

Become a World Class School
Start your journey if:
- You believe that #EveryoneCan
- We can systematically teach students how to be ‘intelligent’ and succeed in school and life
- You can develop the cognitive competencies associated with cognitive success and make them the DNA of our teaching
- You do not follow a one-size fits all approach
