The FGC experience
The Fellowship and Global Community of World Class Schools is a progressive community of exceptional schools who are at the forefront of international educational practice. A core purpose of the FGC is to build a distinct high performing thinking and learning culture informed by evidence-based research and inquiry in which HPL is the DNA of the school. The goal of the FGC is to improve, inspire, innovate and influence.
Participation in the FGC includes opportunities for development and accreditation of staff at all levels in the school, as well as whole school support for principals, senior leaders, and students. Active participation in the FCG is a requirement of the tri-annual re-accreditation process which allows the school to continue to hold World Class School status.
Below we explore what is included within the FGC.
Professional Learning Programme
Through our Professional Learning Programme, you will explore how to maximise the power of HPL in your school and drive forward continuous development and improvement through:

Link Advisor Scheme
Teacher Certification Award Scheme
To recognise, reward, and incentivise the growing expertise of individuals within HPL-accredited schools, we provide our Teacher Certification Award Scheme that showcase the journey and achievements of staff as they become increasingly adept at using the HPL philosophy and framework.
This award highlights the commitment of educators to their professional growth, demonstrating how their enhanced skills contribute to helping all students become high performers. Through this structured recognition, we support a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching.
International Research Schools
HPL International Research School is a status that can be awarded to HPL accredited schools who are active within the HPL Fellowship and Global Community (FGC) and meet the eligibility criteria. By adopting HPL, with its exceptional research-base, you have already demonstrated your commitment to using Evidence Informed Practice.
As an HPL International Research School you will take this a step further by ensuring a Research Culture. This is where your school’s development systematically utilises Research Evidence and Practitioner Research to inform practice and guide your quest for educational excellence. Through this approach you will optimise the impact of HPL on school and student performance.
