If your school is part of a cluster or group of schools, such as a multi-academy trust, a bespoke project will be of interest.
Projects can either take the form of the HPL World Class School Award journey – a two-year scheme which includes an accreditation process – or consist of activity focused on the group’s own goals, which would enable some or all of the schools to go through the accreditation process at a later stage.
Whatever your needs, we understand organisational improvement comes through people and that it is a complex and sometimes frustrating process. Our experienced school leaders can help you throughout the change process as you use the High Performance Learning framework to move your school from good to world-class.
For schools looking to get an initial flavour of HPL and its possibilities, we have an introductory Getting Started Programme.
Our Getting Started programme provides an introduction to the HPL philosophy and framework, informing teachers of the possibilities HPL can offer to support and develop classroom practice. It also serves as preparation for broader and deeper engagement with HPL.
Getting Started is delivered in school by an HPL Associate, as one full day plus two twilight professional development sessions. The programme combines knowledge and skills with practice and reflection.
- Demonstrates how learner performance can be enhanced through normalising high performance
- Introduces the HPL ACPs and VAAs as a common language for teaching and learning
- Develops an introductory understanding of how to teach to the HPL philosophy
- Creates an opportunity for collaborative professional learning
